The perfect excuse to warm up with some vino!!
Why wait for December to enjoy Christmas? Christmas in July is becoming bigger every year, with nothing saying it better than the gourmet delights and boisterous wines of the Swan and Bickley Valley.
It’s widely believed that Christmas in July originated in the 1980’s in the Blue Mountain region of NSW. Visiting Irish tourists were delighted at the sight of snow! Feeling homesick they were able to convince the owner of a local hotel to throw an event called “Yulefest” to celebrate Christmas just how they remembered. The idea was an instant hit and caught the imagination of everyone there. The owner saw a golden opportunity in this and henceforth held a Christmas Party each year in July. Today, the tradition is entrenched in Australian culture.
Christmas evokes a universal feeling of happiness. It’s the moment where we can all bond with our loved ones and appreciate what we’ve accomplished with work colleagues. To do this again in the middle of the year really is the ideal time to take a breather and reward yourself – especially after what has been a trialling 2020. The experience will surely re-energize you so you can be motivated and feel inspired in facing the rest of the year with a more positive vibe!
There are many ways to celebrate this cheeky ‘holiday’. We personally believe the perfect way to lift everyone’s spirits at the coldest time of year is to join us on a Perth Wine Tour. Whether it be a private tour we customise for your friends or business, or by joining one of our awesome daily adventures with a smaller party – we will be sure to create a fun filled day celebrating how lucky we truly are to be in Western Australia! #doitinwa
